A good Horror movie should feel like a panic attack. Anyone who's had a good panic attack will tell you its like sitting on the couch in your living room calmly but you mind feels like its being pushed out a airplane mid-flight.
The easiest way to tell a horror movie from a scary movie is by its rating. If its R its horror. Expect blood and guts and things that used to be attached to bodies which are exploding or getting chopped off. If the movie is rated PG-13 its marketed towards sixteen year old girls in the mist of puberty looking for a cheap thrill to get them over the hump of teenagerdom.
The Horror crowd like to whine. "Boo who Wheres new creative ideas? Why are there so many awful remake!" This is because the same people who whine are the same people stumbling into theaters and forking out cash to watch another crappy remake. WAKE UP! You are enabling the nutballs who think its a good idea to pump out the same crap every year. Do you know why they think its a good idea? Because you keep giving them money. You enable the whackjobs in Hollywood to continue recycling junk to make more junk!
Lets go back to the old fashion style of going about bringing a change. Boycotting. If its saterday and your staring at the marquee and its garbage from right to left. Take a deep breath, and STEP AWAY FROM THE TICKET BOOTH.
I understand, your urges. I'm Horror fan to. Its hard too find a good fix. Horror with drawl is terrible. But take that second and think for a moment. Do I want to waste my money right now for a remake of a remake of a sequel of a Japanese original, or do I want to have a say!

I agree. I told myself a long time ago that I will no longer rent or go see PG-13 horror movies.
I too am a fan of horror movies and zombies. Check out my hub zombies vs. god. http://hubpages.com/hub/Zombies-vs-God
